3) A table measures 3 mt 25 cm by 2 mt 50 cm. Find its area in square meters

Solution: First we need answer in square meters so convert all cm to meters

we get 3.25 mt and 2.5 mt

Now area of table is l x b = 3.25 x 2.5 = 8.125 mt²

4) Draw a circle of 3 cm radius

You can solve this problem it is easy

5) Find the cost of fencing a square park of side 250 mt at the rate of Rs 20 per mt.

Solution: The perimeter of square park is 4 x l = 4 x 250 = 1000 mt

Now rate is 1 mt = Rs. 20

                  1000 mt  === ?

Therefore ? x 1 = 20 x 1000 = 20,000 Rs.

So the cost of fencing a square park will be Rs. 20,000.

6) Give expressions for the following cases:

i) 8 added to q

Solution: 8+q

ii) 8 subtracted from q

Solution: q - 8

7) Are 30,40, 45 and 60 in proportion?

Solution: 30/40 = 3/4 and 45/60 = 3/4 hence they are in proportion.

8) Draw an angle of measure 135 degree and bisect it

Solution: Bisect angle would be 135/2 = 67.5
